One of the driving forces behind the Dodgers' bright future is the presence of a franchise cornerstone in shortstop Corey Seager.
Seager is only 23 years old, but is already regarded as one of the most talented players in all of baseball. On Thursday, the prolific start to Seager's career continued with his second consecutive Silver Slugger Award.
Seager maintained momentum from last season's Rookie of the Year campaign, batting .295 with 22 home runs, 77 RBIs and 85 runs scored. In the coming days, fellow Dodgers Cody Bellinger (Rookie of the Year), Clayton Kershaw (Cy Young) and Dave Roberts (Manager of the Year) are in the running for National League awards.
