Dodgers first baseman Adrian Gonzalez etched his name into baseball history on Tuesday night, becoming the 11th active player and 281st player in MLB history to collect 2,000 career hits.
Gonzalez accomplished the feat during the sixth inning of Tuesday's game against the Pirates, as he picked up a lead-off double. Corey Seager would drive the 35-year-old in for the go-ahead run moments later.
