Report: Raiders and Derek Carr are close to finalizing deal

The Oakland Riaders and Derek Carr are near to finalizing a deal that could keep the star quarterback with the team long term.

ESPN's Adam Shefter, first reported the news. 

Carr threw for 3,937 yards, 28 touchdowns with just six interceptions last season, and was at the forefront of the MVP conversation prior to a season-ending leg injury.
