There were indications early on that Adrian Gonzalez would be headed to the disabled list for an extended period of time. After a brief absence to deal with some nagging injury woes, however, the five-time All-Star has returned to the big league club.
Scott Van Slyke has been optioned to Triple-A OKC to make room for Gonzalez on the roster.
