The Dodgers' depth was dealt a serious blow on Wednesday, as it was revealed that outfielder Andrew Toles had suffered a torn right ACL and will be sidelined for the foreseeable future,
The injury occurred as Toles took an awkward fall while attempting to chase down a ground-rule double from Pirates outfielder Andrew McCutchen.
The recovery time for a torn ACL is typically at least six months. If this is the rough timetable for Toles' return, it is unlikely he will return before 2018.
Toles was batting .271 with five home runs, 15 RBIs and 17 runs scored this season.
