The Masters Tournament is considered the crown jewel of the golfing world, and in April 1997, the event gave birth to a legend.
Tiger Woods captured his first major championship at the 1997 Masters, becoming the youngest player ever to win the tournament. Woods also became the first non-white golfer to do so, and would set tournament records for both winning margin and lowest four-round score.
