The Los Angeles Rams have generated some noise as NFL free agency gets underway, but will the moves being made benefit the franchise in 2017 and beyond?
Given the reported signings of Andrew Whitworth and Robert Woods, there is room for both cautious optimism and slight disappointment.
Whitworth is a Pro Bowl left tackle that fills one of the team's most glaring needs, but at 35 years old, is nothing more than a short-term solution. Woods fills a gap at wide receiver created by Kenny Britt's departure, but has also failed to surpass the 700-yard receiving mark in four NFL seasons.
