The New York Giants have reportedly parted ways with wide receiver Victor Cruz, a former Pro Bowler and fan favorite. NorthJersey.com first reported the news.

After not recording a catch as a rookie in 2010, Cruz emerged as one of Eli Manning's most reliable targets with back-to-back seasons of greater than 1,000 receiving yards in 2011 and 2012. Cruz has struggled with injuries as of late, compiling just 923 yards and two touchdowns since the start of the 2014 season.

The Giants will save $7.5 million in cap space by releasing Cruz.
