Clippers Insider Dan Woike joined L.A. Today on Thursday to discuss the rumors circulating about a potential trade for New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony.
Anthony's reputation as a ball-stopper could generate chemistry issues within an offense that features an elite point guard in Chris Paul. Such could be a risk worth taking, however, with the trade-off being a starting lineup that is on par talent-wise with the Golden State Warriors.
Woike believes the close relationship between Paul and Anthony, as well as the talent of this team, could be deciding factors in getting Anthony to waive his no-trade clause.
"It's no secret the Clippers are one of the teams he would probably waive his no-trade clause to," Woike said.
Jamal Crawford, Austin Rivers and Wesley Johnson were mentioned as players that could be involved in a potential deal.
