Magic Johnson made a bold proclamation to a chorus of cheers on Thursday night at the Kershaw's Challenge Ping Pong 4 Purpose Celebrity Tournament.
The Dodgers co-owner and Lakers President took the stage at annual charity event held by Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw and his wife Ellen to be honored for his work in the community. As Johnson wrapped up his speech, the L.A. icon promised a World Series victory for the Boys in Blue.
At 71-31, the Dodgers hold the best record in baseball and are on pace for the best regular season in franchise history. They are also looking to end a World Series drought that dates back to 1988.
