Dodgers No. 2 prospect joins RC Quakes

The Rancho Cucamonga Quakes have been dominant on the mound this season, posting a California League-best 1.97 ERA, and the latest addition will only help.

Yadier Alvarez, who is rated as the No. 2 prospect in the Dodgers' system, has now joined the Quakes from Extended Spring Training in Arizona.

In 14 total starts between Rookie Ball and Single-A Great Lakes last year, Alonso posted a 4-3 record with a 2.12 ERA and 12.3 strikeouts per nine innings.
