Could Freddie Freeman sign with the Dodgers? One of his former teammates would love the fit for him.
Former teammate of Freddie Freeman Cameron Maybin took to Twitter after the lockout was over and said that he could absolutely see Freeman in Dodger Blue this upcoming year. Here is what he had to say:
I'm just saying, my boy Freddie Freeman has a smile fit for the HollyWood lights.
The Los Angeles Dodgers have a "sincere" interest in the longtime Atlanta Braves first baseman, according to MLB Network's Jon Morosi, who adds that some in the industry believe he could be the next top-tier free agent to sign a contract. With the National League finally getting the designated hitter, it would make sense for the Dodgers, who play Max Muncy at first base, to make an offer for Freeman.
Freeman appeared certain to stick with the Braves. It's unclear if he will now.
