Dodgers pitcher Max Scherzer said he's dealing with a tight hamstring but added he expects to make his next start.
The Dodgers got out to an early 2-0 lead Wednesday night against the NL East-leading Atlanta Braves and he was dominating before he left after throwing 76 pitches in the 4-3 win.
Scherzer said his hamstring tightened up during warm-ups before the first inning.
"I didn't injure it; I just knew it was tight," he said. "There's times where it just happens and you just got to work around it. You might not be able to step on every fastball the same way, but you can still pitch."
The Dodgers have now moved in to first place in the NL West with a series vs. the San Francisco Giants upcoming this weekend. Big weekend ahead for the boys in blue.
