This weekend, the Dodgers dropped two games against the Colorado Rockies at Dodger Stadium leaving them 2.5 games back behind the Giants in the NL West Standings.

The highlight of Sunday's contest, third baseman Justin Turner took the mound for the first time every in his Major League career. Not only did he get up to the mound and make his pitching debut, he left the mound with a career ERA of 0.00.

Turner became the fourth player in Dodger history to play third base and pitch in a single game and he joins Jeff Hamilton, Robin Ventura and of course the great Russell Martin. Some Dodger players reacted to Turner making his debut on the mound:

"That was awesome," said Mitch White. I didn't realize that was his first time. He mixed in, I don't know if it was a knuckleball or eephus or something like that, but that was cool."

Here is what Dave Roberts had to say about it"

I've gone on and on about Justin. To save our 'pen, a leverage guy, be a team leader and take it for the team."

The Dodgers get set to take on the Atlanta Braves in a series at Dodger Stadium before they take on the San Francisco Giants.
