According to Shams Charania from The Athletic, the Los Angeles Lakers have agreed to a deal with Ben McLemore.
The Houston waived Ben McLemore earlier last week and the Lakers and Philadelphia 76ers were the two teams that were heavily interested. What McLemore does is add the dynamic that the Lakers are looking for in a buyout signing. He is a solid-enough three and D player that can get hot from beyond the arc at any given time.
McLemore has not been great this season but he has not been in the best situation in Houston where they are having a tough scandal. He is shooting 33.1% from beyond the arc this season. However, he was shooting a combined 38.7% from beyond the arc the previous four seasons combined.
