The Death and Life of Kobe Bryant Premieres on Sunday, January 24th

KFI-AM 640 and iHeartMedia Los Angeles will present the news documentary, The Death and Life of Kobe Bryant on Sunday, January 24th at 4:00 PM. The 2-hour program will begin the morning of the accident that killed Bryant, Bryant’s daughter and seven others including the pilot. It moves ahead to a status report on the NTSB investigation and the void Bryant’s death left in the business world and the African American community.

The Death and Life of Kobe Bryant will chronicle how the crash was covered by the media, including comments made about TMZ Sports by the Los Angeles County Sheriff. The program will explore the public disbelief of losing such a cultural icon and beloved member of the Los Angeles Lakers in such a shocking and surprising way.

Interviews and audio excerpts from the live news coverage will illustrate the frustration, confusion, and controversy of the incident, including illegal photos taken of the crash site by members of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
