Just a heartbreaking week here on Los Angeles for so many of us and especially for Vin Scully. Sandra Scully, the wife of longtime Los Angeles Dodgers announcer Vin Scully, died earlier in this week just days before Tommy Lasorda.
The Dodgers announced that Sandra Scully died over the weekend after a battle with ALS, a neuromuscular disease, over the last several years. Vin Scully wants to thank the fans for all the messages he has been getting:
I want to express my gratitude for all your kind messages about my beloved Sandi. And with the loss of my dear friend Tommy, it's been quite a lot to bear.
