An Inside Look At The New SoFi Stadium In Inglewood

SoFi Stadium, the new home of the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers, and the NFL hosted a virtual ribbon-cutting ceremony today marking the start of its inaugural year. The ceremony included Rams Owner/Chairman and SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park developer E. Stanley Kroenke, Chargers Owner/Chairman Dean Spanos and the City of Inglewood's Mayor James T. Butts, with a video message from NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.

It took more than four years and a few billion dollars, but the venue is set to host this upcoming weekend for the first time in history. The Los Angeles Chargers will play their first game there against the Kansas City Chiefs on September 20th. Fans will not be in the stands during those games due to the coronavirus pandemic.

SoFi Stadium holds 70,000 fixed seats, with the capacity to fit up to 100,000 people. Suspended in the center of the stadium is the largest video screen inside any sports arena.
