MLB Owners Approve Proposal For The 2020 Season

As expected, MLB owners approved a proposal for the 2020 season according to The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal. They are expected to present the proposal to the union on Tuesday.

Ken Rosenthal reported on Saturday that they league was nearing a proposal that includes an approximate 80-game regular season schedule that would be played in empty home ball parks at least to start. The deal would include regionalized travel with an NL East team like the Braves facing other teams from the NL East and the AL East only.

The biggest question mark however is how will the proposal be received by the players? The proposal is also expected to ask the players to further reduce their salaries for the 2020 season since games will at least initially be played without fans. They will present to the players on Tuesday.
