Four years ago today, many in Los Angeles remember as Mamba Day, which was the day Kobe Bryant decided to 60 points in his farewell game against the Utah Jazz. One person who was front and center to see the clinic put on by Kobe was his teammate Jordan Clarkson.
Although Clarkson played with Bryant at the end of his Hall of Fame career, his presence and words alone made him a giant in the Lakers’ locker room. Whenever Kobe spoke, every player on the Lakers paid attention and knew something important was about to be said. During his IG Live session, Clarkson made sure to let everyone know that Kobe wanted nothing more than seeing him be aggressive and become the player he thought he would be.
Jordan Clarkson was just telling a story on IG live about one of his first games & Kobe told him “aye mother******, we ain’t shoot all those shots in the morning for nothing!” Basically saying, you in the game now, go get those buckets.
As we all know, Bryant is the one of the greatest players in Lakers franchise history. His death has impacted so many lives and it’s going to take the entire NBA community a long time to get over this tragic event. Clarkson has been playing well for the Jazz, who acquired the guard from the Cavs a deal which sent Dante Exum from Utah to Cleveland.
