Colin Cowherd: "I was told 35 minutes ago that Tom Brady signs tomorrow with Tampa Bay. He had made a decision and talked to Tampa Bay yesterday. He was willing to re-sign with New England but he watched Stefon Diggs and DeAndre Hopkins go to other franchises and then called Robert Kraft an hour and a half later and says ‘I’M OUT’… I am told Tampa is the choice and he will sign tomorrow... This is not a 'football source', it is a ‘Icon source', and somebody in Tom’s stratosphere that knows Tom, and who is a famous person. He says Tampa." (Audio and Video Below)
The future of the most famous free agent in NFL history appears to be nearing its climax as six-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady officially told the New England Patriots that he will not be returning for his 21st season in Foxboro.
Colin Cowherd says he has a source close with Brady that told Colin that Brady has made a decision and will be signing with the Tampa Bay Bucs tomorrow (Wednesday, March 18th).
The Buccaneers have long been rumored to be heavily involved in the sweepstakes for Brady as their relationship with former no. 1 pick Jameis Winston became more disillusioned as the notorious 2020 free agent quarterback market progressed.
Despite interest from the Chargers, Colts, Bears, Raiders, and Panthers, Tampa Bay could potentially offer Brady the most talented group of pass-catchers in the league, with All-Pro caliber wide receivers Mike Evans and Chris Godwin joining Pro Bowl caliber tight ends OJ Howard and Cameron Brate.
Bucs head coach Bruce Arians has long been celebrated as a coaching maverick when it comes to the quarterback position and has worked with NFL greats the likes of Peyton Manning, Ben Roethlisberger, and Andrew Luck.
