It has been nearly two weeks since the tragic helicopter crash that killed Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna Bryant, and eight others who were in the helicopter en route to a basketball tournament.
Many players around the have chosen to honor Kobe Bryant by getting a tattoo including LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Shareef O'Neal just to name a few. Most recently, JR Smith took to Instagram and decided to show off his ink in honor Kobe Bryant.
#MambaMentality @nessaurelia thank you so much!
On the court, Smith hasn't played in an NBA game since November 2018 when he was a member of the Cleveland Cavs playing alongside Lakers All-Star forward LeBron James from 2015-2018. Smith has been in the news for the last couple of days after reports of Smith could be working out with the Lakers in the near future. His familiarity with James could make for a smooth transition if the Lakers ultimately decided to add him to the roster.
