Mookie Betts-David Price Deal To Dodgers More Likely That Francisco Lindor

We have all heard Francisco Lindor's (and even Mike Clevinger's name) name tied with the Dodgers almost since the beginning of the offseason. But as we flip the year from from 2019 to 2020, it seems like things could be changing.

According to MLB Network's Jon Morosi, the Dodgers' negotiations with the Indians and Lindor have cooled off, while Los Angeles' conversations with the Boston Red Sox about acquiring MVP outfielder Mookie Betts have "become at least as frequent and perhaps even more involved."

Jon Morosi also reports that Boston pitcher David Price also could be included in such a deal. Price is owed $96 million over the next three seasons and would help fill some of the holes left in LA's rotation following the departures of Hyun-Jin Ryu to the Toronto Blue Jays and Rich Hill to the Minnesota Twins just a few days ago.

Unless the Indians come off their demands for Francisco Lindor, it’s starting to look like Mookie Betts could be the favorite for the Dodgers.
