Most people get Fitbits to track their exercise and sleep habits each day, but it turns out that Fitbits can track a whole lot more than that too. In fact, the wireless wristband tracker was able to alert NFL correspondent Jane Slater that her boyfriend was cheating on her. On Twitter, Slater revealed how it all went down, explaining that her now ex bought her the Fitbit for Christmas one year. She said she loved it at first and even synced it up with her man's Fitbit so they could motivate each other. In the end though, that was their downfall, and the turning point for her love of the Fitbit.
Jane tweeted, "Didn't hate it until he was unaccounted for at 4am and his physical activity levels were spiking on the app. Wish the story wasn't real." She added, "Spoiler alert: he was not enrolled in an OrangeTheory class at 4am."
In a later tweet, Jane confessed, "My girlfriend once said 'one day we will laugh about this' as I sobbed uncontrollably in the car. I have now many times bahahahah." She also revealed it's not the only time she was comically cheated on, stating, "I also had a guy get drunk and bring another girl home forgetting I was spending the night there. We were set to go to church the next morning and I stayed in to get sleep. I could write a book."
If you are unfaithful, maybe re-think getting your loved one a Fitbit for the holidays this year.
