Fan Who Caught Albert Pujols' 2000th RBI Ball Will Not Give It Back

The good news is Albert Pujols notched his 2,000th career RBI in Detroit against the Tigers on Thursday afternoon. The bad news is, the fan who caught the historic baseball is refusing to give it back.

The fan who caught the historic ball is refusing to give it back but since he left the park, it doesn't look like it will be worth anything. The Tigers organization say that any ball that enters the seating area at Comerica Park cannot be authenticated by MLB, meaning the baseball won't be worth anything at all. Don't expect the fan to get anything from Pujols either. According to Jeff Riger of 97.1 The Ticket, Albert Pujols won't be giving the fan any money for that ball back.

“I won’t pay one penny for that. He can have it"
"I don't play this game so I can pay fans so they can give me, you know ... He can have that piece of history, it's for the fans that we play for, too. He has the right to keep it.
