Cody Bellinger has been absolutely dominant to start the 2019 season.
Through 6 games this season, he has already hit 5 home runs which includes a Grand Slam last night vs. the San Francisco Giants. He also has 12 hits in just 6 games which is the most hits in that span since Alfonso Soriano did it in 2003 with 14 hits.
After the game, Bellinger was asked if his success was in any relation to the facial hair he started growing out during Spring Training. Here is what he said:
I don't I guess I gotta keep it. I started growing it in Spring Training and it was alright and I want to see how it looks during the season and I gotta keep it.
I don't know about that, but we'll see.
