It was a very up and down night for the Lakers on Wednesday when they took on the Denver Nuggets.
James tied Jordan at 32,292 career points with a fadeaway 19-footer midway through the second quarter and then passed him with an and-1 layup at the 5:38 mark. He then hit a free throw to complete the three-point play and went on to finish the game with 31 points, putting him at 32,311 for his career. The game was manageable for the Lakers until the until the 4th quarter.
Denver put the starting unit back in the game and as quickly as the Lakers had gotten back in it, the Nuggets had opened up another double-digit lead to run away with a blowout win.
In the closing seconds, the camera panned down towards the half of the court where the Lakers bench is and one couldn’t help but notice that Rajon Rondo completely isolated himself from the bench and sat where the fans sit.
