Texans wide receiver says he will give his entire NFL Wild Card round playoff paycheck to the family of a 7-year-old girl who was gunned down this weekend on a Texas highway. Today, Hopkins took to Instagram to openly discuss the matter.
When I see Jazmine Barnes' face, I see my own daughter. I am pledging my playoff check this week to help her family with funeral costs and to support Shaun King, Sherriff ED HCSO, Sylvester Turner in bringing this man to justice. Barnes was killed around 7 AM on Sunday morning when a man in a red pickup truck pulled up next to the family car and opened fire. The family was going on an early morning coffee run at the time of the incident.
The Texans will take on the Indianapolis Colts this weekend in the Wild Card round of the playoffs.
