LeBron Wants The Lakers To Acquire Carmelo Anthony

According to Joe Vardon of The Athletic, Lakers forward LeBron James is interested in acquiring Carmelo Anthony.

Technically right now, Carmelo Anthony is still a member of the Houston Rockets. While the Rockets still pay Anthony money as a member of the roster, Anthony won't be on the floor in Houston, as the two sides came to an agreement earlier this season that they will be going in separate directions.

Everyone around the NBA knows that LeBron and Melo are close friends off the basketball court. LeBron wants to make sure that his career doesn't end on a low note.

And, broadly speaking, James does not want to see Anthony’s career end either with the Houston divorce or the 10-time All-Star playing out the string in this season in a market where he doesn’t want to be.

Teams like Miami have been linked to Carmelo Anthony, but right now his future is still up in the air.
