It looks like Magic Johnson never made his way out to Vegas to meet with Bryce Harper after all.
Several sources told Yahoo Sports yesterday that Magic went out with Dodgers officials to meet with Bryce Harper about possibly joining the Dodgers. According to Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports, Magic Johnson denies ever going out to Nevada and recalls one time where he met Harper face to face.
"The only time I remember meeting Bryce Harper was on the field at Dodger Stadium two years ago when Dusty Baker introduced us.
This doesn't mean the Dodgers are out on Harper and could possibly still get a meeting with the 26-year old superstar.
Earlier this month, the Nationals’ offered All-Star outfielder Bryce Harper 10 years, $300 million in which he rejected. While it is unclear where Harper will sign, the New Yankees, Chicago White Sox, Philadelphia Phillies, and Chicago Cubs are all teams that seem to have interest in Harper as well.
