The Dodgers have officially picked up the option of manager Dave Roberts.
Early last week, the Dodgers had a press conference with Andrew Friedman and now former Dodgers General Manager Farhan Zaidi were asked about the possible contract extension of manager Dave Roberts.
‘We talked throughout the year about how optimistic we are. We’re going to work together for a long time. We remain that way. When we get to a point of having something to announce, we will.”
Roberts was named manager of the Dodger on November 23, 2015. The past two years, Roberts has led the Dodgers to back to back World Series appearances against the Houston Astros and the Boston Red Sox. Roberts contract will now insure him long term security.
