Dodgers young shortstop stud, Corey Seager believes he will be ready to return to the lineup before the start of the 2019 season. After enduring Tommy John surgery and a hip injury, the 24-year-old still remains confident.
Per MLB:
"Based to this point, I'll be ready to go. I should have a pretty normal spring. It will probably be a little slow in the beginning, but should be pretty normal."
In Seager's absence, the Dodgers mad a trade for All-Star shortstop Manny Machado who will enter free agency this coming off-season. Seager's health weighs heavily on if the Dodgers will decide to bring back Machado next year.
Seager is set to start his throwing program next month and will be rehabbing for six months.
