The release of 'Solo: A Star Wars Story' managed to surprise people after its release on Memorial Day Weekend. 'Solo' tallied $84 million which was down $100 million from initial estimates.
Solo came out very close to the release of 'The Last Jedi' which could be one of the reasons for its poor box office performance. Two movies in the span of six month might have been a little too much for Star Wars fans. The film also came out in the same month to that of other super hero movies such as 'Avengers: Infinity War' and 'Deadpool 2'.
