Dodgers GM Farhan Zaidi joined Roggin and Rodney this week to discuss the team's injury woes, the possibility of an early-season trade and who could get called up from OKC.
Below are a few quotes from the Dodgers exec.
On expectations...
Head to head matchups are a lot closer, our record isn’t indicative of how we’ve played.
"We understood the high expectations. It comes with the territory. We got to learn how to play well even if we lose the superstar player. It’s just a matter of other guys stepping up for now."
Why it is difficult to make early-season trades...
"The trade dynamic early in the season is difficult, because teams want to give their rosters chances to succeed. If we want to get help, we’d want to get it sooner rather than later. Trade deadline is a long ways away, but we’re waiting and seeing what other teams are willing to give up."
On potential call-ups from the triple-A OKC Dodgers...
"Lots of contributors down Oklahoma City that could come in right away…Tim LeCastro…Henry Rollins. They’re playing really well."
