Could the prophecy actually come true? Might all of the Ball kids wind up on the Lakers?
According to Lithuanian journalist Donatas Urbonas, Lakers scouts were in Lithuania for a recent game to watch LiAngelo Ball and Tadas Sedekerskis.
Ball played pretty well in the game where the scouts were in attendance. He scored 12 points, including 3 for 3 from behind the arc, in 18 minutes of action.
Per EuroBasket.com, the 6'5" guard is averaging a team-high 14.5 points per game through 11 games while shooting 42.5 percent from three-point range.
As of a few months ago, LaVar Ball has said that Lonzo Ball wouldn't re-sign with the Lakers, unless his brother LiAngelo and LaMelo were signed by the team as well. Per Sports Illustrated:
"I want all my three boys to play for the Lakers. But if that does not happen, I'm telling you the story what's gonna happen first. If they don't take Gelo this year, I bring Gelo here to play with Melo for two years. Lonzo will be on his third year and I want let ever NBA team know that Lonzo is not going to resign (sic) with the Lakers but will go to any team that will take all of my three boys. That's my plan."
LiAngelo declared for the draft last month and is expected to workout with teams once he finishes his season in Lithuania. However, NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski believes the stocky two-guard doesn't have what it takes to make the league.
