Chargers Announce First Phase Of Season Ticket Sales For New Stadium

The Los Angeles Chargers announced today the sales launch of Premium Seats at the team’s new stadium at Hollywood Park in conjunction with its Stadium Seat License (SSL) program.

The approximately 13,000 Premium Seats available for selection starting next week fit into three tiers: All-Access Seats, VIP Seats and Club Seats.

  • A total of approximately 500 All-Access Seats are located on the second level of the stadium between the 45-yard lines. They include food and beverage, access to two different clubs, the guaranteed right to purchase tickets to nearly every stadium event, including the Super Bowl (but, excluding, for example, the Olympics, World Cup, and certain other events), and special parking.
  • VIP Seats are located on the first and second levels between the 30-yard lines. These seats (approximately 2,500) include food and beverage, access to two different clubs, first-priority access to pre-sales for nearly every stadium event (excluding, for example, the Super Bowl, Olympics, World Cup, and certain other events), and special parking.
  • Club Seats (approximately 10,000) are located from the 35-yard lines to the corners. They include access to one club, priority pre-sale opportunities for most other stadium events (excluding, for example, the Super Bowl, Olympics, World Cup, and certain other events), and the opportunity to purchase premium parking in close proximity to their location’s nearest stadium entrance.

Premium Seats on sale next week constitute approximately a quarter of the total bowl seating inventory for the Chargers at Hollywood Park (excluding suites), with All-Access and VIP Seats accounting for approximately a quarter of the Premium Seats.

All three tiers of Premium Seats will require purchase of an SSL – a onetime payment for the permanent control of a seat for all Chargers home games and preferential access to other select stadium sports and entertainment events.

The Chargers SSL program is one of the vehicles enabling the construction of the multi-billion dollar, multi-use, best-in-class stadium at Hollywood Park. It is the intent of this program to return all monies paid on their SSLs to fans in 2068. Traditionally, a seat license in the NFL has been non-refundable. This SSL program turns what has previously been a sale into a deposit – one that is refundable after 50 years.

Consistent with the practice in other NFL cities with new stadiums, Chargers ownership – which holds an interest in Stadco LA, LLC, the entity that owns LA Stadium at Hollywood Park – will allocate all proceeds from SSL sales to construction of the new stadium.

These Premium Seats range in one-time seat license prices from $10,000 (Club Seats) to $75,000 (All-Access Seats). All of the Chargers Premium Seats carry a $350 per game season ticket price, which is set and fixed through the 2022 season.

“For decades, a stadium in Los Angeles has been little more than an idea,” said Chargers President of Business Operations A.G. Spanos. “Today the future is here, and it’s a game-changer for the City of Los Angeles, Inglewood, the Chargers organization and our fans. This new, multi-billion dollar stadium at Hollywood Park will establish a new standard for fan experience, and we’re excited that our fans can, at long last, begin securing seats in a venue that will be the very best the NFL has to offer.”

“This is going to be the best stadium in the NFL, and we’re proud of this fact,” added Chargers President of Football Operations John Spanos. “Inglewood is known as the City of Champions – having played home to some of the most iconic sports moments Los Angeles has known. We believe we’ve built a team positioned for success now and well into the future, and look forward to creating more iconic sports moments on this hallowed ground in the years to come.”

Chargers Season Ticket Members are the first people invited to make an appointment for next week at the stadium’s Premiere Center in Playa Vista – a unique, interactive digital experience that places fans right in the middle of the new LA Stadium at Hollywood Park. Chargers Wait List Members are next in line, after Chargers Season Ticket Members, and can expect to hear about Premiere Center appointments sometime in the summer of 2018. Upon scheduling their appointment, all fans who visit the Premiere Center will go through an immersive experience that -- in addition to bringing the new stadium to life -- allows them to review all details and options for Premium Seats, SSLs, pricing, payment plans, and stadium amenities.

About LA Stadium at Hollywood Park

Home to the NFL’s Los Angeles Chargers and Los Angeles Rams beginning in 2020, LA Stadium at Hollywood Park will have a seating capacity of 70,240 – expandable up to 100,000 for special events – with 260 luxury suites, more than 13,000 Premium Seats, and almost three million square feet of usable space. The project will include an approximately 6,000-seat performance venue located under the same roof canopy as the stadium.

Adjacent to the stadium and performance venue, the project anticipates more than 1.5 million square feet of retail and office space, 1,500 residences, a hotel and more than 20 acres of parks. The long-term plans offer the possibility of developing additional phases over time.

Owned by Stadco LA, LLC – a third party controlled by Stan Kroenke and in which Chargers ownership holds an interest – LA Stadium, in addition to NFL games, will be utilized year-round for various sporting and entertainment events that currently include Super Bowl LVI in 2022, the College Football Playoff National Championship game in 2023 and the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the 2028 Summer Olympic Games.
