Why the 49ers Are Making Themselves Look Stupid Just Hours Before NFL Draft

Jason Smith: “When I saw the 49ers say this I go ‘I don’t know if you’re telling the truth or not, but why would you make yourself seem stupid?' because that’s what the Niners have done. They have made themselves look stupid. The Niners say they feel 'pretty good about five guys at number three at quarterback', that was a direct quote from Kyle Shanahan… This is why San Francisco is doomed to fail at number three. They traded up to number three apparently not knowing who their guy is. Clearly, you’d say ‘how much of this is a smokescreen?’ because they know their guy, but why wouldn’t you say that? Why wouldn’t you just say ‘we know our guy.’ Why would you sit here and say you like five guys?? That’s just stupid. It shows you that they really don’t have ‘their guy’ and haven’t zeroed in on who their player is… The Niners are doomed to fail when THIS is your attitude. Are you really doing your homework or are you just watching Draft shows?? I don’t know why you would want to say that you’re unprepared, but you’re UNPREPARED. I get why you would have a smokescreen, but why would you make a smokescreen that would make you look stupid?” (Full Segment Above)

Listen to Jason Smith rip Kyle Shanahan and the 49ers for a recent statement regarding their impending decision to draft a quarterback with the number three pick, as Shanahan said the team would be ‘comfortable’ with drafting any of the top five quarterbacks, and seemed to imply it was still open for debate.

Smith believes Shanahan's comments come off as complacent and incompetent and thinks the 49ers may very well be unprepared just hours before the Draft.

Check out the segment above as Smith details why he thinks Shanahan’s remarks are a good reason to believe the Niners are ‘destined to fail’ on Thursday night.
