Watch Jason McIntyre count down his rankings of the top 10 most improved NFL teams after free agency and the Draft.
10. Dallas Cowboys
âPick up Brandin Cooks in the offseason and Stephon Gilmore. Thereâs an argument that this is a top defense in the NFL. The talent is there. They lost Zeke Elliott, not a huge loss. Iâm not 100% sold on them after the Kellen Moore loss but they certainly improved as a team adding Cooks and Gilmore.â
9. Detroit Lions
âThey had a spotty draft, maybe reached a little for the kid Gibbs, the running back out of Alabama, and of course a linebacker in the first round didnât make any sense, but I love the secondary additions. Cameron Sutton  and CJ Gardner-Johnson come over. Jeff Okudah is gone but I would say theyâre the favorites to win the division over Minnesota.â
 8. Jacksonville Jaguars
âCalvin Ridley is the sole reason they are on the âmost improvedâ list. In 2022 in Atlanta he had 1,300 yards receiving and 9 touchdowns. Ridley is a BEAST. It ainât the worst bet in the world to say they win the most games in the AFC.â
7. Denver Broncos
âWhatâs not to love about Sean Payton? Their offensive lineâ they stole Mike McGlinchey from San Francisco, and got Ben Powers.â
6. Baltimore Ravens
âThe marriage with Lamar Jackson was on the rocks but now itâs back on. They got Odell Beckham. If you include the tight end, they have the best wide receiver room that Lamar has ever had. We will see how new offensive coordinator Todd Monken works out.â
5. New Orleans Saints
âTheyâre here for one reason: Derek Carr. He was 15 games under-.500 for the Raiders but heâs a massive upgrade over the pu pu platter of quarterbacks theyâve had since Drew Brees left. Carr and the Saints could be a 12 or 13-win team.â
4. Miami Dolphins
âJalen Ramsey is a game-changer in a secondary. Theyâre gonna have a really good team, the only question is the offensive line.â
3. Los Angeles Chargers
âAdding Kellen Moore at offensive coordinator is immensely huge to Justin Herbert. I think this is the year they finally break through and win a playoff game.â
2. New York Jets
âBesides Aaron Rodgers they added Allen Lazard, Randall Cobb, and Mecole Hardman. I know they lost Berrios which hurts, but Nathaniel Hackett is going to be the most interesting add. How motivated is this dude gonna be after getting run out of Denver in like five minutes in one of the bleakest head coaching tenures in recent NFL history? That was up there with the Urban Meyer disaster.â
1. Chicago Bears
âThe Bear spent like drunken sailors this offseason but hereâs the good news⌠The last two teams to spend the most in free agency have seen an uptick of nearly four wins. The Patriots two years ago made the playoffs and lost, last year Jacksonville.â
