Freddie Freeman and the Dodgers took on the Atlanta Braves this past weekend in an emotional series for Freeman.
The day after the series was over, news came out that Freddie Freeman fired his agent, in a move that was very curious considering the timing of the events. But according to Doug Gottlieb, his sources tell him that Freeman is livid over his agent withholding specifics about Atlanta’s offer and pushing him to sign with the Dodgers.
“Freddie Freeman was unaware of how willing to play ball the Atlanta Braves were...He found out over the weekend just how close Atlanta had come in their final offer, called up Casey Close and said, ‘You didn’t tell me about this offer? You’re fired’”
