LOS ANGELES (CNS) - A 32-year-old man wanted on a first-degree murder indictment in the shooting death of a rapper in Nashville, Tennessee was believed Tuesday to be living in the Los Angeles area.

Trayvon Palmer was indicted for the April 20, 2024 fatal shooting of Christopher Cheeks, also 32, during a robbery outside a recording studio in midtown Nashville.

Cheeks, a Los Angeles-based rapper who went by the stage name Chris King, "had arrived in an alleyway adjacent to the recording studio with a group of friends when three men, one of whom is alleged to have been Palmer, began interacting with them," according to a Metro Nashville Police Department news release. "The three men ultimately tried to rob Cheeks and friends, fatally shooting him in the process. One of Cheeks' friends was wounded."

Adrian Cameron Jr., 20, and Amir Carroll, 19, described as Palmer's co- defendants, were arrested earlier this year.

Cameron was arrested in Los Angeles and Carroll in Nashville, according to Nashville police. Both remain jailed, police said.

Authorities said anyone who has information regarding Palmer's whereabouts or who spots him should not approach, but call 911, local law enforcement or the U.S. Marshals Service at 213-894-2485.
