Supreme Court Ruling Is Bad for the NCAA

Doug Gottlieb explains why the recent Supreme Court ruling against the NCAA will cause more problems than is solves. Doug has always believed that student athletes are well compensated because they receive a free education as well as a platform to help launch their professional careers. Additionally, paying them makes their “salaries” taxable and will put an undue burden on the schools, who will also be taxed, which is likely to be too much for some smaller schools and will result in the closing of an unanticipated number of sports programs.
