The Alcott Center for Mental Health Services has been on the forefront of community mental health services since 1979, meeting the needs of community members who have little to no income and would not otherwise have access to the care they require. In addition to therapy, case and medication management, crisis interventions, trauma-informed studio art classes, the Alcott Center for Mental Health Services also provides supportive housing for people navigating mental health challenges and/or justice-involved reintegration. Today, ‘Alcott’ continues offering outpatient, comprehensive mental health treatment, community education, and residential services. Its ever-expanding programs now help people in Hollywood, Pico Robertson, South Los Angeles, Watts, Commerce, and Whittier. Over 1,000 people were served last year.
Mental Health
The Alcott Center offers comprehensive outpatient mental health services to underserved adults, 18+, who receive Medi-Cal or have no health benefits. In most instances, mental health services are available at no cost, or, depending on your income, very little cost. Services are provided in office as well as in the field, depending on the need. Under its mental health programs, the agency also provides intensive, wraparound services for those referred to its Full-Service Partnership (FSP).
