Major League Baseball's investigation into the Houston Astros alleged sign stealling scandal that is still currently going on. But some current and former Astros players have started to give thoughts on their opinion of the whole thing.
On Saturday during an autograph show, Astros shortstop Carlos Correa told the The Houston Chronicle that he does not believe the scandal should leave the 2017 World Series title vacant. Shortly after that, he decided to respond to the whistleblower in the situation former teammate Mike Fiers.
"He's a grown man, and he can do whatever he wants to do. It's a free country." Knowing [Mike] Fiers, it was surprising, because we were a team. We were a team. We were all together, and we had a bond, and we won a World Series championship. But this is America, the land of the free. You can say what you want to say."
Another player, Joe Musgrove, that was on that 2017 World Series team that beat the Dodgers in 7 games, also gave his thoughts on the accusations by his old teammate.
"Everyone is going to have thoughts on stuff regardless," Musgrove told reporters. "Everyone always accuses people of something. That stuff goes around the league all the time. Everyone is trying to get an advantage somewhere.
MLB went on record saying that no decision on the punishment will be made until after the New Year.
