Report: USC Closing On Hiring Mike Bohn As Athletic Director

Has USC found their man for athletic director?

USC is closing in on a deal to hire Bohn as athletic director, according to Bruce Feldman of the Athletic who tweeted the news earlier this morning.

Although the news is not official, Bohn would be only the second athletic director hire for the Trojans who hasn't had any ties with the university prior to being hired. The other was Mike McGee, who also came from Cincinnati and was there from 1984 to 1993.

As of right now, USC is 5-3 and in first place in the Pac-12 South with a game against Oregon coming up this weekend. Bohn will need to determine if Helton is the man for the job, or if it’s time for USC to go in a new direction. If it is time for a new man in charge of the football team, Bohn has a connection to Urban Meyer, long speculated to be a candidate to replace Helton.
