Lakers Felt Like "They Got Played" In The Pursuit Of Kawhi Leonard

2019 NBA Finals - Game Six

The three team race for Kawhi Leonard this offseason maybe was not as close as people thought it was.

According to Brian Windhorst, he says that the Lakers feel like the "got played" big time in the pursuit of Kawhi Leonard this summer. Not only that, the Raptors also felt like Kawhi Leonard and his camp "came in and asked for the sun, the moon, the stars then left them at the altar."

Kawhi Leonard eventually agreed to a deal with the Los Angeles Clippers and also helped facilitate a deal to get Paul George from the Oklahoma City Thunder to the Clippers in exchange for four future unprotected first round picks, two pick swaps, and one protected.
