Kevin Durant did everything he could to return for Monday’s Game 5 in Toronto. The Warriors star had missed the past month with a calf injury, but he was cleared to play for the must-win matchup with the Raptors in Toronto.
For the first 12 minutes, Durant provided the spark the Warriors needed. After scoring 11 points in the first, Durant pulled up early in the second quarter with that right leg injury. He immediately went down in pain, and the Scotiabank Arena crowd reacted with cheers.
It got to the point where both Raptors and Warriors players signaled to the crowd to stop until they started a “KD” chant as he made his way to the locker room.
