The Lakers coaching search could be coming to a conclusion pretty soon.
Earlier today, one of the candidates for the Lakers Monty Williams agreed to a five-year deal to become the next Phoenix Suns head coach. The news was announced, Adrian Wojnaraski reported that the Lakers have shifted their attention Tyronn Lue but no official offer has been made.
Although no offers have been made, it looks like Lue already has an endorsement from one of the best coaches of all time. According to Brad Turner of the Los Angeles Times, Lakers legend Phil Jackson suggested to Jeanie that hiring Lue would be a great hire for the Los Angeles Lakers.
Former Lakers great championship coach Phil Jackson also suggested to owner Jeanie Buss that Ty Lue would be a really good coach for the Lakers, per sources.
