Lakers And Luke Walton Have Agreed To Mutually Part Ways

The Los Angeles Lakers and coach Luke Walton have agreed to mutually part ways on Friday. Rob Pelinka releases a statement on the matter.

We would like to thank Luke for his dedicated service over the last three years said Pelinka. "We wish Luke and his family the best of luck moving forward."

Walton, 39, was with the Los Angeles Lakers for three seasons and led them to a 98-148 record and failed to make the playoffs in all three seasons. He led the team to 26, 35 and 37 games in three seasons with the team.

It became clear that the Lakers were getting ready to move on from Luke Walton when Magic Johnson resigned and made his statements on Luke Walton that he was getting ready to move on from Walton.
