Dave Roberts Announces P Hyun-Jin Ryu Will Be Going On The Injured List

Dodgers pitcher Hyun-jin Ryu was removed in the second inning of Monday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals after suffering a groin injury. He allowed two runs on two hits and a walk over 1.1 innings of work.

After the game, manager Dave Roberts said his removal was more precautionary and not nearly as bad as last year's groin strain where he was forced to missed 90 games last season. Roberts did say though that Ryu will be put on the injured list.

Ryu, 32, entered Monday’s start having posted a 2-0 record with a 2.08 ERA with as many strikeouts (13) as innings pitched.
