Alex Verdugo Confirms He's Switching Jersey Numbers This Season

Today hours before Opening Day, the Dodgers released the 25-man roster for Opening Day. One of the 25 people on that roster Alex Verdugo has officially announced he has made a number change to the #27.

Earlier this Spring Training, Alex Verdugo talked to our David Vassegh about his approach coming in to this 2019 season

For me, I just really want to get consistent playing time and show off through an entire baseball season what I can do and what I can bring to the table not only offensively but defensively.

For the better part of the last six years, right field in Dodger Stadium has been manned primarily by one player Yasiel Puig. But now, Alex Verdugo is looking to make a huge impact this season and prove that he belongs in the big leagues.
